ABOUT US

The oldest refreshment place in Campiglia was located, already at the end of the nineteenth century, in the church square, always managed by the same family until after the Second World War. However, Maria Sturlese's cuisine began to be known and renowned, even outside the local borders, to effectively replace it in the 1950s. Initially, in the first terraced strips on the western side of the Campiglia area, in front of the wide marine horizon, under the vine pergolas that sheltered from the heat, rustic wooden tables and benches stretched out which hosted groups of day-trippers and connoisseurs of good food on fine days. local wine who willingly stopped here for entire festive afternoons to drink and taste broad beans, cheese, lupins, anchovies and other local products. Having become an increasingly popular and esteemed destination for the authenticity of the wine and food, on the initiative of Maria's husband, Alfredo Cerliani, originally from Cadimare but from Campiglie to all intents and purposes, in 1963 the characteristic structure was transformed into the large and rational venue which It still retains its original shape today, with large glass and wood openings overlooking the sea, truly futuristic for those times, and still miraculously not replaced by the now widespread metal frames.
